People always ask me why I plan Jewish celebrations. The simple answer is that it’s something I understand.
I was raised in Los Angeles by Israeli parents, and Jewish life was just the world I grew up in. The holidays, the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, the weddings. I don’t need anyone to explain the traditions to me. I know what they mean and why they matter to the families I work with.
But it’s more than that. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved being part of these moments. I don’t know exactly what it is. There’s just something about putting together a celebration that makes people happy that has always meant so much to me.
I know it has to do with my past, and with what life means to me. I believe life is meant to be celebrated.

Life is meant to be celebrated. I’ll make a moment out of any happy occasion I can.
To this day, if it’s your birthday, I have to celebrate it. If something good happens to you, I want to make a moment out of it. I just have this thing about celebrating every happy occasion possible, and it’s never really been a choice for me.
So when a family trusts me with their wedding or their child’s mitzvah, it’s not just a job. It’s the thing I’ve loved doing my whole life, for a community I’m part of, for moments that deserve to be celebrated the right way.
