1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using theventbar.com (the “Site”) or engaging The Event Bar (“we,” “us,” or “The Event Bar”) for event planning services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
2. Our Services
The Event Bar provides event planning and coordination services for weddings, mitzvahs, proposals, and other celebrations. Service details, scope, and pricing are agreed upon separately with each client in an individual service agreement, which governs the specifics of that engagement and takes precedence over this general document where there is a conflict.
3. Bookings & Payment
A signed service agreement and retainer/deposit, as outlined in your individual proposal, are typically required to secure your date and begin planning. Unless otherwise stated in your service agreement, The Event Bar does not act as a financial intermediary — payments to vendors and venues are made directly by the client.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms will be set out in your individual service agreement. In general, retainers and deposits are non-refundable, as they reserve our time and availability for your event date.
5. Client Responsibilities & Vendor Relationships
Clients are responsible for providing timely, accurate information needed for planning. While we recommend, coordinate with, and may introduce clients to third-party vendors (venues, caterers, photographers, etc.), each vendor operates independently. The Event Bar is not responsible for the acts, omissions, services, or products of any third-party vendor, even those on our preferred vendor list.
6. Photography & Marketing
Unless a client requests otherwise in writing, The Event Bar may use photographs, videos, and details from events we produce for portfolio, marketing, social media, and editorial purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Event Bar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this Site or our services, including circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as venue, vendor, or weather-related issues).
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally through good-faith discussion. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
